Basic Bros — Majors Pick'em

The unofficial Major tournament golf pool for the Basic Bros crew.

How to Play

  1. Pay your $25 entry fee. Multiple entries allowed — $25 each, no maximum.
  2. Submit your picks before the tournament lock time (first tee time, Round 1). When submitting, you'll create a 4-digit PIN — save it! You can use the same PIN across all your entries.
  3. Select one golfer from each of the 6 tiers.
  4. Your score = sum of your best 4 of 6 golfers' scores (to par). Lowest total wins.
  5. Daily low score (single round, best 4 golfers) pays $25/day × 4 days.
  6. Need to change your picks? Click Submit Picks → Edit a Previous Submission and enter your email + PIN. Edits are allowed until the tournament starts.

Scoring Notes

  • Best 4 of 6: Your 4 lowest golfer scores count each day. All 6 remain active throughout.
  • CUT Penalty: +20 (+10 to Round 3 and +10 to Round 4).
  • WD mid-tournament: Treated as a cut. All unfinished rounds receive a +10 score for the day.
  • Late WD: Text one of the commissioners prior to the start of the round. You can replace a pick if the player selected has not yet teed off for the first time in R1.
  • Tiebreaker: Best 5 of 6, then best 6 of 6.

Payout Structure

  • $25 per entry × number of entries = total pot.
  • $100 reserved for daily high score payouts ($25 × 4 days).
  • Season Bonus Pool: $25 flat from Masters + $1 per entry from PGA, U.S. Open, and The Open.
  • Remaining pot split (top 5): 45% · 25% · 15% · 10% · 5%.
  • Season Bonus Pool: 100% paid to the winner after The Open Championship concludes.
